Cynthia (Cindy)'s Story
I can't believe it's almost been 30 years since graduation. Went to college for a year out of high school and then decided I didn't need a degree. Boy was I wrong. Went back to school, while working full time, and graduated in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration, Management and Marketing. I'm currently employeed as an office manager for two sister companies in the Earth City area. Love my job, and feel that all of my experience and education have finally come together.
The biggest highlight of my life is that I finally got married in 2008. Prior to meeting my husband I had been engaged 3 times, but it never felt "right". I figured that for some reason God did not want me to meet "Mr Right". How wrong I was! I just had to listen and wait for His direction, not mine. Ed and I started dating ...Expand for more
in 2004 and he proposed to me, on my birthday at the World's Fair Pavilion in Forest Park, in 2006. When we were married on June 7, 2008 (6-7-8 how cleaver is that!!lol) I became the step-mom to three adult children (boy, girl, boy) and grand-mother to 5 (#6 was added in May, 2009).
Ed and I take care of my Mom (she will be 88 in September) and are both active at church (Our Redeemer in Overland). Still live in the house I grew up in (we have a second home in Southern Illinois).
We love to travel and try to take 3 or 4 trips a year (the smokie mountins, Hawaii, Florida and South Carolina are our favorite places). We never have enough time to do all the things we want to, but I think most of us fall into that catagory.
